Okay, so technically this is not 100% about being LGBT+, but this seemed like the best place to leave this. Background information, I am a 21 year old mixed physically and mentally disabled queer nonbinary transmasc and I was born and raised in America. However, it is just getting worse and worse here and I actively feel like I cannot live in this country any more. So, my fiance (21 omni black ciswoman) and I have decided we need to leave the country. We are bringing her sister and mother with us because that is all the family we have and we're not gonna lose them. However, I want to be sure I can feel safer in the place we end up. My heart has been set on New Zealand for some time, and I know Savanah grew up there and trust her advice entirely. So, I'm asking about what specifically it would be like there for people like us and advice on whether I should pick NZ or any other options you think would protect us from the insane discrimination we face here. I know no place is going to be perfectly accepting, but I am being hate crimed, harrassed, stalked, attacked, and run out of jobs here with no help and I need to know what level of protection I can get elesewhere. This question is specifically for Savanah, but if anyone else is from New Zealand or another place you think we can live, PLEASE feel absolutely free to weigh in.
Hello. I'm from Germany. I can't help you much. I wish you the best.
