So this is less of me seeking hugs and more me giving you hugs, because I've got a little bit of a funny story.
My grandpa is quite old (as grandparents typically are), and unlike the rest of my grandparents, he acts his age a bit more.
He said something about "this is the sort of thing you should be doing with your girlfriends", (meaning female friends, not girlfriends.) I told him I didn't have any, and he took this to mean I have no friends, and said this. I told him that I did, in fact have friends, they just aren't girlfriends, because not all of them are girls, and also some of them are gay, so it would be weird to call them my girlfriends. I had meant that they might eventually have girlfriends in the romantic sense, so it would feel strange to call them that, but im not sure what he thought I meant, because he said "I don't have anything against the gays."
It was really hard not to laugh.
I'm not sure it's that funny if you weren't there, but I always hear about people saying "the gays", and it's surreal to actually hear it.
Hope this made you smile!
Yes, this made me a little happier. I always thought "the gays" was a little bit weird, and it really is funny to hear people say it!
Thanks for sharing this!
