This is kind of just random but I wanted to say it somewhere so:
I just recently realized that I was lesbian after a really rocky road to come to terms with my sexuality. (Still figuring out my gender identity, so they/them pronouns for now please!) My cousin (same age, trans, gay) was visiting recently and I came out to him. He was really really supportive and now he's teaching me "the way of the gay". I also came out to my best friend, which is a whole other story that I'll tell here too because why not:
So my friend and cousin kind of started fighting over emails about a fanfiction of a fanfiction and the friend was being a little transphobic and homophobic so we met up all of us to sort it out and that was figured out really quickly. So then we started talking and my cousin and I were vibing as only the gayest of the gays can. And my friend asked who my crush was and... I hadn't previously came out to her and I USED TO HAVE A CRUSH ON HER FOR LIKE YEARS AND SHE'S MY BEST FRIEND. So. Then I told her with the support of said cousin and it was awkward for a little while but not too bad. Then a joke was started that friend and cousin are dating (weird but we're all weird so...). And she also drew me kissing a guy who I lied and said I had a crush on in elementary school (long story, might tell it sometime). So now cousin and I joke that she's in denial of us being gay and trying to make us straight.
Anyway. That was really exciting since telling people made me feel a lot more secure and confident in my sexuality, something I've really struggled with. Now I don't have to worry about that (but I'm still struggling with possibly being on the ace spectrum and gender and not-so-great mental health in general).
If anyone read this, I hope it wasn't too crazy or confusing or weird or anything. I just wanted to say it somewhere and found this page after starting to watch Kiwi on Youtube.
